Barbara Buchholz Collins

Although I like black and white photography, India screamed “color!” Blue cities, pink cities, saris, sunrises and sunsets, signage, mosaics, traffic congestion, shops. Color was everywhere, even in the subtle, smoggy sunrise at the Taj Mahal. Color is unique to each country and a traveler is seduced by it; it marks a country’s personality.

Despite having traveled fairly extensively, I have always lived in the SF Bay Area, with the exception of three years in LA. University studies were in California, as well. I have been a teacher, ceramist, and graphic designer. Photography is now my primary interest.
